Before i read this article i knew about blogger.com, we actually use this site to network about our work in class. Its simple to make an account and it does not require any personal information. After reading this article i realized that posting a blog about anyone can become a real serious problem, As the article explained while the model Liskula Cohen was in court sueing google for a $15 million law suit. a blog was posted about the model and pictures with derogatory statements were said, the judge diasgreed and said "The internet serves as a modern-day forum for conveying personal opinions." This is true and we can only post opinions about people, it can never be a fact unless its proven. There was a lesson learned after reading this article, Always post blogs about yourself or others you know to avoid uneccesary problems.

yes, I agree that the internet is so public now
ReplyDeleteWow to try and sue google... thats not gona be easy, specialy since that fact google is the largest and most used website on the net.
ReplyDeleteThis model must not be that smart for even trying to sue google because of a blog. People are allowed to say whatever they want about who ever they want whenever they want. Its just their opinion. Imagine being sued for your opinion on somebody, thats outrages. At least she lost the law suit, because if she won then we all should be worried about saying anything about others.
ReplyDeletethe internet is public i dont understand why that model is sueing google. what ever was said might be true or not with the internet you can never be sure or safe
